Regulations for the Self-study Center of the Language Learning and Writing Center
一、 本中心位於知行樓前棟203室，主要功能為提供本校師生於課後或午休閒暇時間之語言自習場所。中心之開放空間為閱覽暨視聽區，館內收藏提供外語和華語雜誌、教材及參考書籍。
1、 The self-study center is located in Zhi Xing Building (Front), Room 203. Its main function is to provide a self-study space that NYCU students, faculty, and staff can use to improve their language skills.
二、 服務項目：
1. 「閱覽暨視聽區」：
(1) 本區設有16個閱覽座位、2個電腦視聽座位、4台筆記型電腦及10台iPad。
(2) 閱覽區之圖書採開架式，讀者可自行取閱瀏覽；因中心典藏書量有限，故借閱數量每次最多5本。
(3) 圖書語言類別：外語及華語。
2.「雜誌閱覽區」：
(1) 雜誌展示架：時代雜誌(Time)、國家地理雜誌(National Geographic)、發現科學雜誌(Discover Science that Matters) 等。
(2) 新書及主題展示架：新書展示。
2、 Service items:
1. Reading and audio-visual area：
(1) We provide 16 reading seats, 2 computer audio-visual seats, 4 laptops and 10 iPads in this area.
(2) The books are available in an open-shelf manner for users to borrow and use within the center. The collection of books in the self-study center is limited and the maximum number of books to be borrowed is 5.
(3) Books (Language type): Foreign Languages and Chinese
2. Magazines reading area ：
(1) Magazine rack: Time, National Geographic, Discover Science that Matters.
(2) Display rack: new book display.
三、 服務對象：限本校教職員生。
3、 Service is limited to NYCU students, faculty, and staff.

1. 掃QR code進入本中心，並填寫注意事項表格。
2. 禁止任何飲料及食物。
3. 所有書籍、雜誌和視聽媒體教材限在本中心使用，均不外借。
4. 本中心提供之語言學習雜誌及閱覽區之書籍均採開架式管理。
5. 如欲借用電子設備(含筆電、桌機及iPad) 均須與本中心工作人員抵押證件後方可使用。歸還電子設備時如無損壞，立即歸還證件；若有損壞，則依損壞情況賠償。
6. 借閱時發現書籍或雜誌損壞時，應即通知本中心工作人員。造成遺失或損壞者，悉依本辦法中之遺失及賠償辦法處理。
5、Rules of use:
1. Scan the QR code and submit the form before entering the self-study center.
2. Food and drinks are prohibited.
3. All books, magazines, and digital self-study materials are limited to use in the center and cannot be taken outside of the center.
4. The language-learning magazines and books in the reading area are provided in an open-shelf manner for users to borrow and use within the center.
5. Users can borrow electronic equipment (including laptop computers, desktop computers, and iPads) after the they pledge their ID card. When returning the electronic equipment without any damage, the ID card shall be returned immediately; if there is damage, compensation shall be made according to the damage.
6. If the books or magazines are found to be damaged during borrowing, the staff of the center should be notified
六、遺失及賠償辦法：偷竊或蓄意毀損，除需負賠償責任外，並以校規議處。
6、Loss and compensation method: Theft or intentional damage, in addition to the liability for compensation, will be dealt with in accordance with the university regulations.
七、本辦法經語言學習與寫作中心行政會議通過後實施，修正時亦同。
7、These Regulations and any amendment thereof shall be implemented after being approved by the administrative meeting of the Language Learning and Writing Center.
八、本法規有中英文兩個版本，在有疑義的情況下以中文版為準。
8、These Regulations are adopted in Chinese, which shall prevail in case of any discrepancy between the English translation and the Chinese original.
